About Wainscot

“Originally, wainscot was a type of foreign oak imported to Britain for use in panelling before it came to mean the panelling itself. Panelling is a millwork wall or ceiling covering constructed from rigid or semi-rigid components. These are traditionally interlocking wood. Panelling was developed in antiquity to make rooms in stone buildings more comfortable. The panels served to insulate the room from the cold stone.” - Wikipedia

Wainscot was established in 2015 and has built a reputation for its bespoke wood panelling designs, which combine exquisite colour and texture using sustainable wood supplies.

Wainscot NZ Ltd were kind enough to donate the cut, CNC and delivery of plywood lockers in kitset form to Clubhouse Rescues grass roots community television series that will go to air in February 2023. Without their help Hibiscus Coast Football Club, and the clubs that they were involved in, would not have had brand new changing rooms completed. We are grateful for their generosity and support of this community project.”
